Competence Centre
SMACC is a competence centre focused on research and services in the areas of smart machines and manufacturing. SMACC is formed by VTT Technical Research Centre Of Finland Ltd and Tampere Universities Community. The operations are coordinated by Tamlink Ltd.

WHAT?

SMACC promotes the emergence of new export products and the renewal of the Finnish manufacturing industry by increasing the productivity and reforming the business models utilizing the opportunities of digitalization. Together with companies, SMACC solves the challenges that the growth and the renewal of the industry generates, connects the actors and improve the conditions to increase operations in Finland.
HOW?

For active companies, SMACC offers a platform to network, develop and create new, sustainable innovations and find funding in both Finland and Europe – to grow and internationalize alone and together. The expertise, RDI-infrastructures and networks found from SMACC, support companies when scanning and utilizing new markets and co-operation possibilities. SMACC also works as a channel for foreign companies that are interested in Finnish business opportunities.

Advisory Groups
The key objective of SMACC is to act as a link between the industry and research. The industry perspective and contacts are conveyed by the industry advisory group made up of representatives of business and industry. Correspondingly, a scientific advisory group composed of representatives of the research partners are responsible for the scientific activities and cooperation.
